Do you know there are miracles
when we suspend our perceptions of the ordinary
to allow the unexpected?
Some mothers know imaginary friends are real.
Their sons grow up to find manna in the wilderness, speak to angels,
bring water out of rocks to form a river in the desert.

I love this one. "Some mothers know imaginary friends are real" opens up the poem to a whole dimension of possibility.
